I remember buying my first camera when I was in the film studies program at my college. I saved up money from on campus jobs and bought a Canon Rebel T2i and spent the entire summer shooting content and improving my skills behind the camera. This unlocked a whole new world of possibilities and gave me a jump start to my filmmaking career.
Film equipment is expensive, and I want to give an opportunity to the younger generation to experience the joy of getting their first camera and exploring their creativity.
We've raised a total of $10,000 and there will be a total of 3 winners receiving gift cards to Hunt's Photo & Video:
1st place ($5,000)
2nd place ($2,500)

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must have a strong interest in filmmaking and have at least 3 previous works.

Must classify as a minority group (Examples: African American, Hispanic, Asian, LGBTQ, etc.)

Must be 23 years old or younger.
